Cool Silicone Miracle Oven Gloves

Wednesday, January 28th, 2009

Getting things out of a hot oven is never fun.  Besides the blast of heat in your face, those cloth oven gloves don’t always keep the heat out, and within a few seconds, your hands are starting to feel the burn.  However, with silicone oven gloves, you not only don’t feel the heat, you also won’t have to worry about getting hot liquids spilt on your hands!  Again, cloth gloves tend to absorb the hot liquid right away, making it possible for you to get burnt.  With silicone, though, you’re getting twice the heat resistance of cloth plus all the benefits of silicone, like easy cleaning.

A pair of silicone oven gloves can withstand up to 325 degrees of heat without making your hands warm, plus they will greatly reduce the heat felt at higher temperatures.  You can even use them to turn food instead of trying to do it by hand (and burning yourself) or trying to carefully manoeuvre food using a fork and knife.  Just grab the food and flip it over!  With a cloth glove, you’d then have a very nasty mess to clean up, but with silicon, a quick rinse and it’s clean.  You can even toss silicone oven gloves in the dishwasher.

These silicone miracle gloves are extra long to help protect your hands and lower arms from splatters or burns.  They’re also large enough for those with wide hands to use, and just like cloth gloves, they feature a convenient loop for hanging.  Whether you’re baking or barbequing, these gloves are sure to make your cooking much safer and easier.

Do You Need Two?

Tuesday, January 20th, 2009

When it comes to buying anything, sometimes more is, well, more.  This is especially true when you’re looking at cookware.  How many times have you had to wait for one batch of muffins to bake before you can start the next batch?  If you had two muffin pans, you could do two batches at once.

That’s why many of our cookware comes in two packs.  While you can purchase one non stick 24 mini canapé tray, if you’re planning on doing a lot of baking, you may want to get our two-pack.  Even if you’re not going to need them both, you may want to purchase one as a gift.  You save on shipping by purchasing them both at the same time, and you even get a slight discount for buying one of our two-packs instead of two single items.

While not every product is available in a package of two, many of our most popular items are.  They include the non-stick 1lb and 2lb loaf dishes, the 24 mini canapé trays, the 6 bun/pudding trays, the 8in flan pans, and our silicone spatulas.  Having two of these items guarantees you won’t have to wait for one item or batch to come out of the oven before you start cooking the next.  With two pans or trays, you can cook more and you can cook faster, all for a great price!

Make Cleaning a Snap with a Teflon Oven Liner

Monday, January 12th, 2009

The bottom of your oven can become very, very messy, especially if you bake a lot of things right on the rack, such as frozen pizzas.  All those little bits of crust and melted cheese accumulate on the bottom of your oven.  Plus, if you accidentally drop something as you’re taking it out of the oven, you’re really in for a mess.  Cleaning the oven is truly a chore, especially since many oven cleaners are harsh chemicals that can make it hard for you to breath.

However, there is one way to make cleaning your oven much easier: purchase a Teflon oven liner.  These liners cover the bottom of your oven, keeping it clean while at the same time allowing you to use your oven like you normally would.  They work for all gas and electric ovens, too.  Even better, they’re dishwasher safe!  All you have to do is pull the oven liner out, throw it in the dishwasher, and you’re done.  You don’t have to deal with those harsh chemicals at all!

There are other advantages to using a Teflon oven liner.  Since you can clean it more often than you probably want to clean the bottom of your oven, you won’t have as much build-up.  This means your food won’t pick up any of the scent or taste of any previously-baked dish.  A Teflon over liner will also last much longer than some cheaper, flimsier oven liners.  While you may need to replace those on a regular basis, this oven liner is strong enough to handle months or even years of wear and tear.

Use a Non Stick Pizza Pan to Bake Your Favourite Pizzas!

Monday, January 5th, 2009

Baking pizzas in the oven can be a pain.  Many people don’t want to take the time to make homemade pizzas, so they throw a frozen pizza right on the oven rack to bake.  However, this can lead to your oven racks and the bottom of your oven getting covered in pizza toppings, especially if the crust isn’t strong enough to hold the toppings or if you accidentally drop it.  However, baking on a round metal sheet can be a pain, too, since you have to try to get the pizza off the pan after its baked.  You also have to be careful that your pizza cutter doesn’t leave marks on the pan.

With a silicon non stick round pizza dish, however, you don’t have to worry about any of this.  You won’t have to deal with frozen pizzas any longer since you can make great homemade pizzas without dealing with the dirty pan afterwards.  In fact, you’ll find yourself eating healthier pizzas - home made pizzas made on a non stick pan require no butter or oil to keep them from sticking.  They also come right off the non stick pan.  However, just because it’s silicon, don’t think its floppy.  This non stick pizza pan is stiff enough to hold up any pizza, even one full of toppings or covered with extra cheese.

In addition to making a great pizza pan, this non stick round pan is perfect for any other baking adventure, including biscuits.  You can also use it as a serving plate for cakes or small snacks.  Like all silicon cookware, it’s easy to clean, can be used in the oven, microwave, or freezer, and is completely dishwasher safe!
